"Hard Facts About Soft Surfaces: How to Make the Right Carpet and Fabric Selection Every Time" |
||||||||||||||||||
|
With such a vast array of fabrics and carpets in the marketplace, designers sometimes find it difficult to make selections that will perform well in “real world” residential and commercial installations. This course updates designers on natural and man-made fiber types, including such new additions as organic cottons, soy and bamboo. Other topics include dying and colorfastness, aesthetic and functional finishes, flame retardants, and “green” cleaning procedures. Upon completion, both seasoned professionals and designers new to the field will have an increased understanding of all fibers and will be more able to choose soft surfaces that satisfy their clients’ needs. |
