"Sustainable Lighting Design for Interiors"

Coherent lighting design reveals architecture, enhances the human experience and may be the single best way of reducing the energy attribute to the act of seeing in an otherwise darkened space. This lecture is good for LEED AP credit.
"Hospitality Lighting"
A discussion on how best to light entrances, hallways, ballrooms, meeting rooms, kitchens, bars, dining rooms and the pool area. Focuses more on the overall look of the lighting design in a project and how to obtain certain effects.
 

Allen Weiss is a graduate of Drexel University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Allen is both an LC and PE by examination and is presently registered in six states (Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and North Carolina).  Allen has personally designed or supervised over 30 million square feet of facility lighting. Additionally he has worked on the lighting design of several major roadway, tunnel, and bridge projects including Orlando’s East West Expressway. Several of his lighting designs have merited design awards through the IESNA and Architectural Record.


 

"Sustainable Design for the Interior Environment"

"Sustainable Ceiling Systems" reviews green building design and the key areas of energy performance, indoor environmental quality, and materials. This seminar addresses how ceiling systems contribute to these key areas and how to apply these concepts on upcoming projects. Participants will learn how to evaluate green interior finishing products to assist clients in their “green” efforts. Participants will also learn how ceiling systems contribute to the LEED® rating system.

"Light Reflectance I: An Introduction to Light Reflectance"

This one-hour seminar covers the basics of light reflectance, advantages and disadvantages of four types of lighting, how light reflectance affects energy costs, how the right combination of lighting and ceiling can improve workers' effectiveness, and how to specify acoustical ceilings to meet these needs.
 

Gordon Ramsay is currently employed by Armstrong World Industries, Inc. as a Sales Manager.   He is responsible for South East FL from Indian River County to Miami/Dade.  He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Virginia Tech.  In addition to Armstrong he has worked with McGraw Hill Sweets.  He has worked in the Building Products Industry for 19 years with architects, designers, contractors and distributors.
