“Implementing LEED 2012: Keeping Up in an Evolving Market.”
Friday, January 27 (8am-6pm)

By The Kobet Collaborative (Pittsburgh, PA); 7 GBCI CE hours & 7 AIA LU

LEED is evolving.  LEED 2012 places even greater emphasis on process and performance.  Now more than ever, the mindset with which we approach the design and construction process will define those teams who deliver successful, high-performing green buildings.  Stay ahead of the curve! This training goes beyond the ‘nuts and bolts’ that make up LEED credits and intents.  We will dive deeper into the fundamental approach and process needed for success as LEED evolves. What are the necessary roles and responsibilities of key stake holders, as well as strategies for communicating in an integrative process? You will learn of LEED tools and unique aspects of the New Construction 2009 and 2012 rating systems.

Learning Objectives:
 ●
Compare unique aspects of LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations 2009 & 2012.
 ●
Interpret how changes inherent in LEED 2012 will effect facilitating the LEED process with stakeholders.
 ●
Apply evolving LEED tools to new construction or major renovation project.
 ●
Identify key green integrated design decisions points throughout the process to achieve success in LEED
      certification.
